for Generational Sins

 Heavenly Father,

I confess the sin/s of my ancestors, my parents, and my own sin of _______________________________ that has been spiritually passed down in my family.

 I choose to forgive and release them for their sins and their effects in my life.

 I ask You, Lord, to forgive me for my involvement with this sin and its effects.

      I receive Your forgiveness now. Because You have forgiven me, Lord, I choose to forgive myself for this sin.

 I now renounce the sin and effects of _______________. With the authority given to me by the Lord, Jesus Christ, I break this power of sin from my life, and the lives of my descendants, through the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross.

 There is no longer anything in me that agrees with Satan regarding this sin. I receive God’s freedom from this sin and from all the effects of it. Please fill me with the fullness of Your Spirit in its place.
